Environmental Management Policy

It is Bob Hick Earthmoving Ltd’s policy to operate our business as a responsible corporate citizen committed to sound Environmental Management, and with concern for the well-being of the environment. Our goal is to ensure that company facilities and operations are in compliance with all national and local environmental standards, and contribute to the sustainability of the natural environment and resources. In achieving this goal, Bob Hick Earthmoving Limited has adopted the following principles and work practices throughout its business operation:

•  To ensure environmental risks are properly identified, prioritised and managed in an appropriate and timely way.

•  To apply the ‘4 R’ policy for the use of resources – Reuse, Recycle, Reduce and Recover.

•  Establish sound Environmental Management policies and promote best practice.

•  Manage operations in ways that are environmentally sustainable and economically feasible, by making efficient and environmentally responsible use of energy, and water, and exploiting opportunities to maximise efficiency.

•  Minimise environmental impact and where practicable prevent or reduce pollution to the environment.

•  Handle and dispose of wastes through safe, environmentally responsible methods.

•  Collaborate with key suppliers to promote environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services.

•  Raise and maintain awareness amongst staff and promote individual good practice.

•  Encourage Bob Hick Earthmoving Limited’s business partners to strive for the same high levels of environmental performance.

•  Review the impact on the environment during corporate planning and decision making.

•  Each employee is expected to work toward these principles and is encouraged to advise their supervisor promptly of any situation that may be in conflict with this policy.
